Our Indoor Work Out And Tennis Specific Stretch In Pictures

We did many simple ball exercises today, with the goal of improving our tracking, reaction & hand/eye skills. We did our normal footwork routine with the fitness ladders and cones. We started with a normal stretch and then some sprints. We layered the sprints with slow movements such as knee bends down and knee bends up. We seasoned that with the Carioca movement for improved flexibility of our core and hips.

There are pictures below of the all important pre-match tennis specific stretch. Some of these activities we've performed with PVI trainer Greg White. They are all important, as going on court before a match with such under your belt is KEY to maximizing your success. Starting off prepared and quick, wherein winning the FIRST TWO games sets you up perfectly. Many tennis opponents you'll play now and in the future won't be as prepared as you mentally or physically. I feel strongly about such as you all must know by now. Being prepared physically sets the right tone mentally.

Win or lose, it doesn't ever matter. If your not prepared to try to be the best that you are capable of being at that moment, that matters. The simple activities above aim to help you prepare to compete in match play.
