Pictures And Summary Of Today's Camden County Tourney

Terry, Johnny and Mitchel each participated in the annual Camden County Tennis Tournament. It was a splendid day at Eastern HS and all won their first round matches. Terry beat Eric Mintz, Bishop Eustace's #2, right after the courts dried. Johnny and Mitchel beat Haddon Township's #1 doubles team 6-1, 6-4. They all ran into very tough Eastern HS players in the second round. I was very proud of the effort and I know the experience will serve them well for our matches on Monday and Tuesday.

Terry against Eastern's #1 singles - another tough Olympic Conference opponent which he will met again in a few weeks. He'll be ready to rumble for sure!!

Terry thinking and soon realizing that he got a lot better and knows that Eastern's #1 is in his sights. Terry was a little tired, but his opponent hit a wall and looked even more tired toward the end of the match.

Terry going wide to hit a backhand against Eastern's #1

Terry going wide for that same backhand - The 'Burst' button on my camera supplied this quick progression of the same moment. There are a lot of functions and buttons on this digital camera, which I recently purchased to help document our tennis season on the blog. I hope by season's end I am moderately proficient with some of them.

Mitch and Johnny will met Eastern again, and they will be excited for that challenge.
Notice the toss arm position(the trophy pose) by the Eastern tennis player. We work on this everyday in hopes of having as good a serve as he did. Ask Johnny or Mitchel
what they thought of this strong Eastern doubles player. Some of our singles players may even take note of his knee bend as he's serving.

Our doubles team was prepared for Haddon Township after a morning warm-up at PVI. They started off quick and won the 1st round match 6-1, 6-4.

Our 2nd Doubles running Haddon Twp's 1st doubles ragged.

Mitchel, Johnny, Mr and Mrs Rogers all know now why Haddon Twp didn't want to play us. A good win breeds confidence!! Gentlemen grab hold of it, and don't forget what it does for your game!! Mr Long is there too, and quite excited for another PVI triumph. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Long and Mr and Mrs Villari for the great support today.
